World Series Master Mark Teixeira throws her hat in the political ring.
Former New York Yanke’s first Baseman announced his campaign for Congress in Texas ’21. District Wednesday. He released an official statement on social media and said he is “ready to help defend President Trump’s America First Agenda, Texas families and individual freedom.”
“As a proud Texan and lifelong conservative who loves our country, I’m ready to fight for the principles that make Texas strong and America unusual,” the statement reads. “It takes teamwork to win, and I’m ready to help defend President Trump’s America First Agenda, Texas families and individual freedom.”
Teixeira’s message follows congressman Chip Roy’s decision not to apply for re -election as he runs to the Texas Attorney General Office.
