Asante Samuel Sr. spent most of his NFL career with New England Patriots. His son, Asante Samuel Jr., spent the first four years of his professional football career with Los Angeles Chargers.

The younger Samuel is currently listed as an NFL free agent. Miami Dolphins recently sent three-time all-pro defensive back Jalen Ramsey to Pittsburgh Steelers and could be looking to strengthen their cornerback room.

But oldest Samuel’s recent spectacle comments on the dolphin franchise could put a damper on the possibility of his son landing in South Florida.

From Samuel Sr.’s point of view, the Dolphin organization is suffering from deficiencies from the top down. He shared his feelings about the franchise during a recent performance on his “Say What Need to say” Podcast as he responded to the trade that sent Ramsey and the tight end Jonnu Smith to Pittsburgh.

The dolphins acquired Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick in exchange for Ramsey and Smith. Both teams also acted draft elections as part of the agreement.

“The dolphins had no reason to trade Jalen Ramsey, except that they are sensitive. There is no leadership in the Dolphins organization,” Samuel claimed.

“[Head coach] Mike McDaniel is a pushover. Chris Grier, general manager – he has no backbone. These guys over here, Miami Dolphins, they run this team as a small league team. No one can stand up for the players. They are afraid of their own players and they have no control over their players. “

Sun Sentinel reported that Ramsey was delayed to team meetings and exercise sessions routinely during his term of office with the dolphins. In 2023, the corner back of the star also reportedly collided with Vic Fangio – Dolphin’s defensive coordinator at the time.

“He became a symbol of the dolphins who just collected talent instead of building a team,” the June report said. “Ramsey and Tirek Hill were constantly too late for practice or meetings in a way that set the culture in last year’s dolphins.”

While the dolphins have had some success in the season under McDaniel, he has not yet led the team to a win after the season. Dolphins’ last playoff -win came in 2000.

Ramsey is credited to 24 career upsets. He joins a corner kick in Pittsburgh, which contains Darius Slay Jr. and Joey Porter Jr.
