“This tax was aggravated because Mr. Droese intended to buy the sexual assault material,” Stanford said in the release. “Buying sexual assault material for children is a deteriorating crime because the money used to buy the material is what continues to make sexual assault material for children for criminal companies that produce it and sell all over the world.”
The press release stated that Droese was trying to buy child pornography on the dark web using a Coinbase account on April 21, 2024. The company completed the purchase and marked it in the process.

The FBI was tilted to the trial of the purchase of Droese, who then told Jason Walker from Warren County Sheriff’s Department in March.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was brought in to help the sheriff’s department and eventually bring in droese.
Droese turned in after the great jury accused him. He was booked at Warren County Sheriff’s Department and released after sending a bond of $ 10,000.

The release noted that Droese had worked on the 31st program for Court Program for Court for Adults, also called “Drug Court.” He was a DUI coordinator there, while also working for the program in other capabilities before his current role.
Stanford said that Droese did not work with any children in his time with the program, and he has since been terminated from his position.
However, a 2009 WWE article said that Droese had moved to Tennessee after his career and became a primary school teacher for students in special education. He was later forced to leave his job after selling Oxycodone to an undercover officer in 2013.
