Foundation Season 3’s official trailer has debuted online – and it not only reveals the show’s new villain in all his scary glory, but also indicates that two former enemies are forming an unexpected alliance.
The Apple TV Original will return to our screens on Friday, July 11, and with exactly one month back (at the time of publication), until it does, a new teaser for one of its best Apple TV+ Sci-Fi shows has definitely raised my voltage levels to its next installment.

So what makes the latest trailer to Foundation‘s third season tell us about its history? It tells us that Mule, one of the most famous antagonists in Isaac Asimov’s book series-names brother, will be the primary villain of this season’s 10-episode arch.
It doesn’t come as a shock to fans of the critically acclaimed program. In fact, the arrival of the mule was teased last season finale – Read my Foundation Season 2 ends explained article for more details. He is also a tremendous marked character in Foundation & Empire and Other foundationie The second and third foundation novels bound by Asimov, who have inspired the action for seasons 2 and 3rd, so the mule was needed to appear in one of the best Apple TV+ shows before rather than later.
Either way, his live-action debut is set to put the vicinity cat among the pigeons. Like this trailer and Foundation Season 3’s first teaser suggests that the threat from the mule is so great that it will force the foundation and empire to form a troubled alliance.

Given that the two most important factions of the series have been at each other’s neck throughout the show, it is clear that it would have taken something (or rather someone) especially alarming to make them make it imaginable and go together. Expect these frenemics to set aside their differences – albeit temporarily – to tackle a common enemy in the mule.
For more history -based details, see the official blurb for this season: “Set 152 years after the events in Season 2, the fund has become more and more established far beyond its humble beginning while the Cleonian dynast’s empire has subsided.
“Since both of these galactic forces create a troubled alliance, a threat to the whole galaxy in the terrifying form of a warlord known as Mule, whose attraction is potentially deadly games between intergalactic chess.”

Season 3 will see the return of the most important role crew in Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Lou Llobell, Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton and Terrence Mann. Participation in them on the main herd list is Game of Thrones Alumnus Pilou Asbaek, who replaced Mikael Persbrandt as mule last March as part of a Foundation Season 3 Role Crew is shaking.
It is not the only major adjustment of the show’s role crew and crew. In February 2024, Foundation Showrunner David S. Goyer apparently resigned from his production in the midst of reported concerns about Apple TV+ Show’s budget and film plan. Bill Bost is said to have replaced Goyer as its temporary showrunner to complete work on season 3.
FoundationThe third season is launched with a one-episode premiere on Apple TV+, also known as one of the world’s best streaming services. New episodes are released weekly every Friday until its final is released on September 12.
