Security forces have killed four terrorists belonging to “Fitna-Ale Khawarij” during an intelligence-based operation performed in the Swat district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Public Relations (ISPR) said between the Services (ISPR) Friday.
The ISPR declaration said the operation was performed on April 18 based on credible intelligence indicating the presence of Khwarij in the area.
The security forces successfully targeted Khwarijs’ hiding place, resulting in the death of four people identified as members of a banned terrorist group. Weapons and explosives were also regained from the site.
ISPR said the killed terrorists were involved in several sabotage actions in the region.
A approval and sanitization operation is ongoing in the area to eliminate remaining threats.
The military confirmed its commitment to eradicating the threat of terrorism and maintaining peace in the country.
Previously, security forces killed four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Maddi area of Dera Ismail Khan district, Inter-ISPR said on Thursday.
The operation, launched on April 16, followed the confirmed intelligence of the presence of militants in the region.
There was a fierce exchange of fire, resulting in the death of all four terrorists who were reportedly linked to several attacks in the area.
Weapons and ammunition were regained from the site according to ISPR.
