Four killed, 56 wounded as police are spreading TLP supporters in Murideke

At least four people were killed and 56 others wounded, including police and civilians, during violent clashes in Murideke Monday in the midst of Tehreek-in-Labbaik Pakistan’s (TLP) long March.

According to security officials, 48 ​​police and rangers staff were wounded-17 of them by the gunfire three TLP supporters and a passerby were killed. Eight civilians also sustained injuries.

Police said the operation to spread TLP supporters were launched after violent clashes broke out during the march. Protesters burn on about 40 governments and private vehicles and cause extensive damage. Security forces later regained full control over the Grand Trunk (GT) Road and spread the amount. Several people were taken into custody during surgery.

Those who were injured and influenced by tear gas were moved to hospitals nearby, while the authorities temporarily limited the public movement along the GT road. Police were also custody of the bodies of the deceased and the wounded staff.

In Rawalpindi, normality returned after days of turmoil. All public and private educational institutions opened again after a three-day closure, with participation reported as normal in the middle of tight security. The Board of Directors for Intermediate and Secondary Education also resumed supplementary matriculation surveys as planned.

Traffic across Rawalpindi remained largely smooth, although deviations near the Faizabad exchange were maintained. Commuter movement along Murree Road, Mall Road and Peshawar Road continued without major disturbance, and all entrance and exit routes to the city remained open.
