Security forces killed four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Maddi area of Dera Ismail Khan District, Public Relations (ISPR) said Thursday.
The operation, launched on April 16, followed the confirmed intelligence of the presence of militants in the region. There was a fierce exchange of fire, resulting in the death of all four terrorists who were reportedly linked to several attacks in the area.
Weapons and ammunition were regained from the site according to ISPR.
Under the firefighter, Sepoy Basit Siddique, 23, embraced from Attock District, martyrdom. Ispr praised his bravery and said, “After fighting gallant, [he] paid the ultimate victim and embraced shahaadat. “
A sanitization operation is currently underway to eliminate any remaining threats in the area.
“Security forces in Pakistan are determined to wipe out the threat of terror from the country, and such victims of our brave soldiers further strengthen our determination,” the declaration concluded.
