Quetta:
At least four people were injured on Sunday when an improvised explosion device (IED) derailed five coaches of Peshawar-bound Jaffar Express at Spezand Railway Station in Mastung, according to Pakistan Railways (PR) officials.
The blast hit a train track near Spezand Railway Station, which derailed 39-up Jaffar Express trains, running from Quetta to Peshawar.
All five passengers sustained easier injuries, said PR -officials, adding that rescue teams, including rail staff, were immediately sent to the scene.
The Federal Minister of Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi condemned severely attacked and promised that such feige terrorist acts would never deter the country’s determination.

Jaffar Express had traveled to Peshawar at. 9.00 and went through Spezand Railway Station, Da Ied hit. A relief train was sent to the station to transport stranded passengers.
Security forces and police closed the area. The bomb -baiting team clears the site, after which passengers will be moved to the Quetta Railway Station via the help train.
This is not the first time Jaffar Express has been targeted. A similar attack in November 2024 claimed the life of 25 people, leaving 50 others wounded.
Recently, Jaffar Express strolled narrowly from an attack on the way to Quetta last week when a bomb planted near the track at Sibi Railway Station, which allegedly went out just after the passenger train passed.
The PR authorities confirmed the explosion to the media and stated that the explosion occurred near the outer signal from the track connecting Balochistan to the rest of the country.
