Businesses lose an average of 5% of their annual income simply due to fragmented cyber security solutions, new research has claimed.
A report from IBM and Palo Alto Networks found more than half (52%) of Exec’s now state -fragmented solutions prevent them from innovating and managing cyber threats effectively, highlighting a major challenge that stands in the way of increased security and economic efficiency.
Three -quarters now agree that better security integration is crucial to ongoing digital transformation and governance, so the need to remove obstacles is crucial.
Businesses are struggling with cyber security
Four out of five executors are now facing pressure to reduce security costs while improving their security positions, but two out of five (41%) say fragmentation has driven their shopping costs. Half (52%) also notes that complexity is the biggest obstacle to their cyber security operations.
“Security leaders need to enable innovation, protect assets and get value from their cyber security investments to help their organizations thrive and promote their business goals,” noted IBM Global Managing Partner for Cyber Security Services Mark Hughes.
The report reveals how platformization can tackle many of the obstacles that companies are facing today – “Consolidating more tools for a comprehensive platform not only strengthening security position, but allows organizations said in release.
Four out of five platformer recorders say they have full visibility in potential vulnerabilities and threats, while the same number of non-platform organizations say their security operations cannot handle the number of threats and attacks they are facing.
