Fresno State Men’s Basketball is mirrored in a sports game scandal, and ABC 30 Action News learned two of the three athletes allegedly involved the rate at stake they played in.
Bulldogs removed Mykell Robinson from the team while suspending guards Jalen Weaver and Zaon Collins for alleged sports betting.
ABC 30 Action News reports Robinson and Weaver betting that their team would go under their expected points and rebounds. This is a clear violation of NCAA rules that prohibit student athletes, coaches and athletics in betting at stake or giving information to anyone involved in or associated with any kind of sports betrayal.

The rule includes sports betting involving inter -college, professional or amateur games or competition.

ABC 30 Action News also reports that Fresno State Men’s basketball head coach Vance Walberg was the one who discovered his player’s alleged games and informed the university. After an initial internal study, NCAA became involved in its own study.
Fresno State told ESPN that Weaver and Collins were “detained from competition when the university is reviewing a justification.”

These are two of Bulldogs’ top scorers this season, with Weaver an average of 12.5 points per year. Match, while Collins is close to 12.0 points per Battle and leads Fresno State with 4.7 assists per year. Match.
Meanwhile, Robinson has not been on the team since January 11.
Fresno State Athletics also told ABC 30 Actions News that it would no longer comment on the matter “at this time.”
