From John Wick’s World: BallerinaThe release was pushed back a year because Lionsgate would repeat scenes that were originally cut from the manuscript.
Talking with Techradar, Ballerina Director Len Wiseman confirmed that further photography was the primary reason behind the film’s delayed launch. John Wick-Flick was due to land in theaters in June 2024, but its release was held back to improve his narrative and action-based flow.
Given the negative connotations that surround the word ‘reshoots’ in the entertainment industry, BallerinaDelay may give the impression that it was invincible in its original form. After all, the addition of new scenes suggests, those filmed after head photography, wrapped up that a movie is not up to the bottom.
Just look at Captain America: Brave New Worldalias one of three Marvel films that landed in cinemas throughout 2025. It allegedly underwent several resumes after feedback from fan screening. But as I outlined in my Captain America 4 Review, reshoots and/or additional photography does not always create a better movie.
Wiseman said, though Ballerina Did not undergo the traditional process of revival. In fact, Wiseman 2023 Hollywood revealed aside, Wiseman revealed that one of this year’s new films was delayed out of 2024 because Lionsgate actually wanted to reincorporate pages that were originally left on the cutting -ground floor.
“When we first put the film together, the study [Lionsgate] Wanted to add more scenes that we had cut from the manuscript, “Wiseman told me when I asked about the action of action thriller’s setback.
“I have been a part of movies where it has not happened, so when you hear about further recording, it is talked about negative. But this was a excitement for me because a lot of things we originally would do had no time or planning [to include them].
“So the study really supported us back to return to these sequences, build them out and then add them back. It was really amazing for me and everyone who was affiliated with this movie.”
