‘The Night Agent’ star Gabriel Basso has made a big decision about his acting career

The night agent star Gabriel Basso opens up about his decision to quit acting in pursuit of things that make him feel more useful in society.

“Right now I’m acting to the best of my ability,” Basso told me Black. “But at the same time, I don’t feel like a productive part of society. If I build a stone wall – that’s one thing. I have served society. I think there are more important things that a 30-year-old man can do with his life,” he said.

The night agent Creator Shawn Ryan also shared insight into the actor’s personality, saying, “I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the first thing he did after Season 1 finished filming was to go to Tennessee and get a stonemason’s license. Other actors would have called their publicist. He likes doing the work more than talking about the work.”

Gabriel also talked about playing now Vice President JD Vance Hillbilly Elegy, a film adaptation of the politician’s memoir. The film also starred Glenn Close and Amy Adams.

“It’s kind of weird to be included in that timeline,” Gabriel shared.

“When he thinks about his life — they made a movie of his book, and my name will always be in the description,” Gabriel continued.

“We talked a little bit. He’s a cool guy. We’re both from the Midwest. We just talked about life — about growing up in the woods,” added Gabriel Basso
