Advisor to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister of Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Saif, has said that Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur held an important meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala Prison Monday.
The meeting lasted for more than two hours, where detailed discussions were held on law and order, security and other key conditions regarding the province. Imran Khan expressed full confidence in chief minister Gandapur, who briefed him on the provincial government’s initiatives to maintain peace and security.
According to SAIF, the Minister of Chief also informed Imran Khan of plans to convene tribe Jirgas on peace efforts. The two leaders discussed the issue of conversations with Afghanistan, where Imran Khan instructed the minister of chief to ensure coordination and dialogue with Kabul.
Imran Khan also got a detailed orientation on the province’s financial situation and budget. The main minister outlined steps taken to strengthen the economy that Khan appreciated. SAIF added that Khan for a more detailed financial briefing has called on the adviser to Finance Muzzammil Aslam. He also noted that litigation will be pursued with regard to restrictions placed at Aslam’s meetings with Khan.
The performance of different ministers and departments was also reviewed. Imran Khan authorized the minister of chief to take the necessary measures in this regard. He also emphasized the supremacy of the law and instructed Gandapur to accelerate the efforts of the “Haqiqi Azadi” (Real Freedom) movement.
The party’s affairs were another focal point at the meeting. Imran Khan issued strict instructions against elements that created canyons or undermine internal unit, which made it clear that there is no place in the party for those trying to sow the division.
Saif said the main minister will again turn to the Supreme Court tomorrow to challenge restrictions on meetings with Imran Khan.
