- Garmin has launched several new beta updates to its wearables
- These contain new features, bug fixes and more
- They are available for both affordable and premium smartwatches
If you are the proud owner of one of the best Garmin Smartwatches, you will be glad to hear the company rolling a number of updates to keep its devices running. Furthermore, the good news is that these corrections come to a wide range of Garmin’s products, both in the affordable and Premium ends of the line. They are warm on the heels of another recent update that brought lifestyle logging to Garmin Connect.
One thing that some users of Garmin’s Vivoactive 6 Smartwatch have recently noticed is that the battery may tend to drain uncomfortably quickly. If it sounds familiar to you, you will check your device for version 15.05 -Update. That’s because NoteBookcheck has noticed that users of Garmin’s forums have seen a new update that apparently solves the problem. Interestingly, it is not officially announced by Garmin, and it seems to be a beta version that is rolled out to select users.
Apart from the battery drainage fix, Forum users believe that 15.05 Beta update includes a fine -tuning that gives you access to your morning report and evening report from the Notification Center. The third change that is allegedly contained in release is a new gesture that allows you to leave a smart review by placing your hand over your watch screen.
We do not yet know when Garmin will officially recognize the update and considering that it is only a beta update, it may not be available on your device yet. If you want to sign up for the public beta and access it, follow the instructions in our guide here.

Vivoactive 6 is not the only Garmin-SmartWatch to get a slate with bug fixes advanced offers has also been affected. It includes Fenix 8, Tactix 8 and more.
The 20.07 update for these products comes with four new features, according to Garmin. It includes a Cycling VO2 Max Watch Face complication, support for GPI files and the ability to use automatic touch lock and unlock if Touch is enabled for a Strength reps session. Plus, Garmin has added Touch Access to the Keyboard Layout menu via Drag.
Garmin says the update also contains over 30 adjustments and bug fixes. Different crashes and deposits of delay have been processed, like black screens, defective features and roller problems. You can see the full list of changes on the Garmin’s site.
Like the other improvements, this update has also been released as part of the Garmin Beta program, so you will need to sign up to get it. Beta updates can contain bugs, so be careful when installing them on a critical device.
Whether you have a Premium Garmin laptop or one of the company’s more affordable products, these updates should have some notable benefits. Hopefully they are able to solve any of the problems you may have had with your smartwatch.
