- Gemini canvas helps you write documents and code with AI
- Right inside Gemini you can create documents and import them into Google Docs
- Google updates Gemini almost weekly, making it a compelling option for all your AI -Chatbot -Needs
Google today launches a new upgrade to Gemini called Canvas that allows you to refine documents and code right from its AI Chatbot.
Canvas is a ‘new interactive space’ that is ‘designed to create creation, refining and sharing of work easily’. Think of canvas as a writing tool that looks like chatgpt canvas or Apple Intelligence Writing Tools, but built into Gemini with easy export to Google Docs.
Canvas can generate written drafts, change the voice tone and suggest edits directly from Gemini. The tool can also streamline the coding process by quickly ‘transforming your coding ideas to work prototypes for webapps, python scripts, games, simulations and other interactive apps.’
It may not sound like the most exciting AI upgrade for most of us, but it opens even more options with Gemini, which is only a good thing, and not even a week from Google’s last big AI updates.
Just last week, Google added search history to Gemini so users can get even more personalized AI response based on how they used to use Google search in the past. In addition, deep research, Gemini’s data analysis and reporting tools were made free of charge with Gems, a custom chatbot bubble, perfect for creating specific use cases as a counseling bot with AI.
Gemini -updates come thick and fast, chatgpt should be concerned
Google continues to add huge gemini upgrades almost weekly, with AI Chatbot quickly taking over Chatgpt as my favorite AI chatbot. Last week’s deep research upgrade to 2.0 flash, which also included free access without a premium plan, is fantastic and I have used deep research several times this week without paying a penny. It is an excellent tool for getting in -depth info, perfect for work or sportsner like me who wants to know about the best fantasy football assets.
I do not use AI Writing Tools so canvas is not what appeals to me, but I am excited about the kaden of Gemini updates and how focused Google is on building the best possible AI -Chatbot.
Last week’s upgrade of search history could make Gemini the best AI tool on the market, and while it hasn’t rolled out to me yet, I look forward to seeing how it improves the Google AI experience.
Google has not only announced Gemini canvas today, but it also upgrades deep research to add audio overview functionality from Notebooklm so users can create podcasts from the research reports.
While Google’s Gemini updates may not always grab the headlines, the constant push is to improve the AI tool worth writing home about. Gemini is one of the best AI chatbots on the market and it just gets better.
