Crypto Exchange Gemini, founded by the billionaire twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, Coindesk said it has joined forces with Ripple to roll an XRP edition of his credit card in collaboration with Ripple, offering users Crypto Rewards across spending categories.
The card, issued with a webbank in a similar way like other Gemini Cashback cards, allows holders to earn up to 4% back in XRP on fuel, EV charging and riding hare, 3% on eating, 2% on groceries and 1% on other transactions, according to a blog post. Gemini said it also collaborates with selected merchants to give up to 10% back on eligible purchases.
“We give customers and XRP armies new ways of earning XRP and expressing their passion, loyalty and excitement,” said Tyler Winklevoss, co-founder and CEO of Gemini, in a statement.
The exchange also extends the use of ripple USD (Rlusd)The $ 680 million US Dollar StableCecoin issued by Ripple. The token is now available as a basic currency for all spot trading on the platform for US users, allowing traders to move between RLUSD and other assets without extra conversion steps.
“Twenty -five million Americans own Krypto, and this number only rises when more people look for easier ways to access and use it in their daily lives,” Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said in a statement. “With Gemini we make everyday life to use a chance to earn and connect to both XRP and RLUSD.
Gemini has increased offers as the company was preparing to be published in the United States in June, Exchange began offering trade in tokenized US stocks.
Last week, the company got MICA license in Malta to expand the footprint in the region.
The company also revealed in its IPO papers a $ 75 million credit facility from Ripple and reported $ 282 million net losses in the first half of the year.
