Gen V. Season 2 section 4 is out now – and it just lifted the lid on some big details about Hamish Linklater’s chiffer.
The newly installed leader of Godolkin University has been a hot topic of conversation among the most important video The boys‘College-spin-off returned to our screens. And although I suppose there are many more great revelations about the figheres coming, the latest chapter of the series has already answered one of our biggest questions about him and hinted at a great connection between the enigmatic Dean and another mystery individual.
Full spoilers immediately follow for season 2 section 4, titled ‘Bags’. Turn back now if you haven’t seen it yet.
What is Cipher’s forces in Gen V?
We were admittedly only introduced to the chiffer in Gen V. Season 2’s premiere in three episodes. However, unlike any other person in a position of power at Godolkin University (God U), however, he did not target his powers in any of these items.
Until now it wasn’t clear if digit even had Superhuman abilities, which is something Marie Moreau becomes convinced in ‘Bags’. During a private lesson where digit helps Marie improve her blood manipulation skills, she apparently learns that he is not a super. In fact, she later tells Jordan, Emma and Cate, she couldn’t sense any composition V – the serum that gives people superpowers – in Cipher’s Blood.
So it makes him 100% human, right? Yes and no.
Confused? Let me explain. Before Gen V. Season 2’s latest episode ends, it’s apparently revealed that Cipher is a telepath. He can not only read people’s thoughts like Cate, but also keep in mind them. The latter seems to be proven by his ability to possess Jordan during their television exhibition with Marie, created by Vought’s PR-Team as an injury limitation exercise after the disclosures, Jordan made about SPEP-manufacturing corporation at the end of section 3.
It is obvious as it is to say, but the possibility that digit is an incredibly powerful telepath can have major consequences forward.
First, it shows why digits have always been two steps ahead of Marie and company in Gen V.‘s second season. In fact, it seems that he can read their minds and see what they think and see what information they are hiding for him. How, for example, would he know, for example, that the gang was hidden from filming him during Jordan and Marie’s struggle to get a confession out of him that he might not have been a soup?
It is the ability of chiffers to physically enter a person’s mind and control those who spell the danger of Marie and her allies. If Cipher doesn’t like what they say or by doing, he can easily manipulate them to say or do the opposite. The prospect that he can possess any of them without physically touching them – that’s the only way Cate has been able to brainwash someone to do something FYI – is sure to spread distrust through the group. After all, how can they know that their friends’ words or actions do not actually come from ciphers?
There are other questions that need to be answered, such as how digit hid his composite V-infused blood from Marie. However, the key to answering this inquiry may be in the other great narrative development we learn about in Amazon TV original’s latest episode. Talking about which …
Who is the burnt man in Cipher’s Secret Room? And what is its connection to Thomas Godolkin?
While the FIFHER completes his one-on-one lesson with Marie, Cate and Jordan manage to infiltrate CIFFER’s home. They do this by stealing the keys from his bodyguard who are forced to commit an eerie act at a nearby Garden Gnome of Cate.
In any case, they use the keys to access the secret space in Cipher’s Abode after gaining access to the secret space in Cipher’s Abode. It is the huge steel door that Cate discovered when she left Cipher’s home in section 3.
Once inside, they find a strongly scared man who apparently sleeps a hyperbarian chamber. These sealed chambers are used regularly in hyperbar oxygen therapy that sees patients inhale 100% oxygen to speed up the healing process. As Jordan clicks on a quick photograph, the individual wakes up who sends the couple fleeing for the exit. The identity of this mystery character is therefore unclear.
Or is it? During the staged Marie-Jordan duel, Cipher reveals to cate that the man inside the hyperbar chamber is none inferior to his father. This revelation would be surprising enough on my own, but I take on the theory that this person is not just anyone. In fact, I think it’s Thomas Godolkin himself.
During the Flashback scene in 1967 in one of the best Prime Video Shows’ Season 2 -Premiere, we see Godolkin go out due to carbon monoxide poisoning when a fire breaks out in a Vought Laboratory. It does so after Godolkin’s co -researchers inject themselves with an early form of composite V – a situation that quickly spirals out of control and apparently leads to deaths for everyone inside the plant, including Godolkin.
However, considering that we do not see that Godolkin is dying on the camera, it was always possible that he survived. Sure he will have been poorly burnt but given the life-saving treatment in Vought’s possession-Husk, we saw Stormfront survive a similar fiery, skin-peeling event in The boys Season 2 final – There is no need to suspect Goldolkin perished during the otherwise deadly laboratory disaster.
Predictably, this question raises what Cipher has up to. Does he keep his father alive with hope Gen V.‘s project Odessa? Does digit try to improve Marie’s power level because her blood manipulation skills have the key to fully healing Godkolin? And as a digit claims, was God that you have really just founded for the purpose of creating Marie and transforming her into the world’s most powerful super? I would not be shocked if the answer to these queries is a resounding “yes”.
But wait there’s more. As the above -mentioned Reddit Post suggests, some fans believe that Godolkin is actually puppeting events from his hyperbarian chamber. In fact, some viewers believe that digit is not only the son of Godolkin, but also a vessel through which he can manipulate the situation to his own end.
We know that Godolkin was the right man from Frederick Vought, Supe Corp’s founder and former member of the Third Reich. As is evident from his collection of Nazi and KKK-memory in a secret space in God U’s Library, Godolkin also subscribed to right-right ideology. It is not a stretch to say that Godolkin is an extremely evil individual.
But back to his links to Cipher. If Marie is right to say that she could not feel composed V in Cipher’s blood, it is likely that Godkolin is the individual with telepathic abilities. With the help of these powers, he can possess the chiffer, make him make Godolkin’s commandments and construct everything from the shadows of his, homeland and Vought’s overall plan for this new world order they are planning.
But what do you think of all this? Tell me your thoughts and theories in the comments below.
