Gen V. Season 2 section 6 has arrived on Prime Video and it is full of exciting reveals that not only sets the stage for the show’s next two episodes but also The boys‘Fifth and last season.
The title ‘Cooking Lessons’, it contains a como from a character that first appeared in The boysConfirmed what our prediction of Marie’s sister Annabeth has superpowers, and revealed a lot of big new details about the Odessa project / project Odessa.
Full spoilers immediately follow for Gen V. Season 2’s Latest Post. Turn back now if you haven’t seen it yet.
Welcome back, Stan Edgar
Let’s deal with the big como first. After releasing Elmira, Marie and Company decides to put low in an abandoned library to plot their next step towards Cipher. That’s the plan anyway, until Amazon TV Show’s latest Big Bad manages to trace them down and sends the Norse god -inspired Supe Vikor after them.
Fortunately, Marie and her friends are saved by someone that we did not expect to see-zoe Neuman, who murders the vicora using her mouth-based tentacle skills. For those who need to remind: Zoe is the daughter of the deaths of death -politician Victoria Neuman, who was killed by Billy Butcher in The boys Season 4 finale.
However, it is not the big como I am talking about. Moments later we see that Zoe has been accompanied by none other than Stan Edgar, also known as the former CEO of SPEP-manufacturing megacorporation vought Inc.
There is no mention of how the couple was reunited. Remember to follow Victoria’s death in the last episode of The boys Season 4 was sent to Red River, also known as the Vought-Founded Institution for Orphaned Supe Kids. Meanwhile, Edgar was last seen, rescued by Victoria, alias her alienated adoptive daughter, in season 4 section 5.
Until now, we did not know what had happened to him. But given that Zoe is Edgar’s adoptive child, he must have traced her down to Red River, become her guardian and brought her back to living with him on his underground operating base.
Project Odessa’s ties to Homelander and Cipher’s plan revealed
But I’ll take off. After agreeing to accompany Edgar back to his secret headquarters, Marie and Company soon learn the truth about Project Odessa.
As it happens, the Odessa project was devised by Godolkin to create good-tier superhumans that would, one assumes, Rule Planet Earth. This plan was teased via an inscription on a pedestal that a bronze bus of Godolkin sits on in Godolkin University’s (God U) patio, which reads, ‘The path must begin here where mortals become gods’.
According to Edgar, Project Odessa failed first. However, a breakthrough was achieved in the 1980s – and surprising surprise, it has something to do with Homelander. This is because, as I predicted in the aforementioned Odessa project, explained article, The boys‘Primary villain was the first SPEP that was created as part of the program. Marie was not the first and only individual to come out of it.
That’s not all. Again, which I outlined in my Odessa project article, Compound V, ie. The serum that accommodates people with superhuman abilities can cause side effects in children, teens and adults. Injection of it into an embryo as part of, for example, an in vitro fertilization program (IVF) would bypass this problem and ensure that babies are born with composite V written in their DNA.
Gen V.‘s latest chapter confirms this. In fact, Edgar says the emergence of IVF made it possible to inject compound V into Odessa topics at the blastocyst stage (essentially an embryo in the early stage). Newborns would be, yes, born with the super -creating serum as part of their genetic composition and therefore be more powerful than your average superhuman. FYI, EDGAR was the one who closed Project Odessa. Originally, Marie did not show superhuman fitness, so she was considered a failure, and thus the program closes.
But wait that is even more. In one of the best prime video shows’ latest episode, Edgar also admits that Godolkin has the power to stop Homelander.
When Edgar later shows other top secret vought files to Marie, we catch a glimpse of a high frequency flute decor as well as a superpower blocking neck rod. The latter design is similar The boys’ Take the mutant inhibitor collars that any withheld X-Men and other mutants are forced to wear in Marvel cartoons. However, one of these devices is unlikely to actually work on Homelander.
Either way, Edgar also tells the Triumvirate that Godolkin thinks he can control SUPES. We have already seen examples of this in Gen V. Season 2, by digit that fans believe is a human vessel that Godolkin controls is able to control Jordan during their staged match with Marie in Season 2 Section 4. You can remind yourself of it via my Gen V. Season 2 Cipher’s Powers explained piece.
He just put these levels of power -debats to rest in a single sentence😭😭 #genv pic.twitter.com/dcpp1tchrwOctober 8, 2025
Is this another clue that Godolkin is the heavily scarsely scattered individual we saw in the hyperbarian chamber of this season’s fourth episode? And does it confirm that he actually controls the man known as cipher for puppet events from the shadows?
Edgar seems to believe that Godkolin and Cipher are completely separate people – in fact, he says just as much by telling the group that while Godolkin wants to control SUPES, digits want SUPES to rule over humanity. In a separate scene later, Cipher Polarity says he wants to beat 75% of Godolkin University’s Supe population, so there is only the strongest left that gives faith to Edgar’s claim.
But when the trio fills him what they know about Godolkin and Cipher, Edgar soon changes his tune. He did not believe in the many years of rumor that Godolkin had not survived the horrible lab brand in 1967, but what Marie and Company tell him forcing him to change his mind.
Understandably, all this new question raises. Are Homelander and Marie the only God -like Supes that exist? And after his great lore dump, we can trust Edgar, or he simply uses everyone to eventually regain control of Vought in The boys Season 5?
Despite the Nazi and KKK memorabilias in the secret space of Godolkin University’s Library, is goodkinin a good guy who wants to help Marie and Company stop Homelander? If so, push Cipher/Godolkin Marie to unlock her true potential because she is the only powerful enough to kill Homelander?
I suppose the answers to the latter both are “no” where “TBC” is the answer to my other queries. Hopefully we get answers to these questions and more in Gen V. Season 2’s last two episodes. Lord knows that we as a fanbase will be annoyed if we have to wait for The boys‘Fifth and last season to get them.
