The Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Karachi announced on Monday the resumption of visa and consular services for non-European Union (EU) citizens.

This message comes after the consulate suspended its services for non-EU applicants a week ago.

In its previous statement, the Consulate confirmed that this temporary closure used all non-EU applicants, including those with confirmed visa agreements, and clarified that these agreements had been canceled and would not be re-planned.

The affected applicants were asked to re -register through the consulate’s online agreement system when services were resumed.

Earlier this month, the Swedish government announced resumption of Visa Services in Islamabad, which facilitates short visits to Sweden for Pakistani citizens.

In June, the US consulates in Karachi and Lahore issued new instructions that required F, M and J-UK-Immigrant Visa Seekers to publish their social media accounts.
