The Pash headquarters in Islamabad have received a batch of modern printers equipped with the latest technology.

These printers, imported from Germany, include two e-printers and six desktop printers, reported Express News.

Director-General of Pas Mustafa Jamal Qazi visited the e-printer section and was informed by foreign experts on the installation process.

A foreign technical team has arrived in Pakistan to help with the installation of the printers, which are expected to be completed soon.

According to Qazi, the new printers are able to print 1,000 passports per hour, increasing the output and improving the quality of printing significantly. He also added that additional e-printers will arrive in the coming month, which further speeds up the passport printing process.

Modern technology is expected to improve the efficiency and overall quality of Pakistan passport printing.

A few days ago, federal minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain noted about the alleged blockage of Overseas Pakistanis’ passport and has formally written to the Ministry of the Interior seeking a study.

The question was raised by Pakistan Business Forum France, whose leaders urged the government to intervene. Hussain called the case “very sensitive” and emphasized that posted should not face unnecessary difficulties.

The Minister stated that abuse of overseas Pakistanis would not be tolerated and announced that light desks would be created at airports to help them.

A letter from forum leaders, including Ibrahim Dar, Zahoor Iqbal and Aslam Chaudhry, claimed that thousands of posted have had their passport blocked, with airport staff reportedly required bribery of up to RS500,000.

Authorities have promised rapid action to investigate and solve the problem.
