ISLAMABAD:
Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani said on Sunday that tolerance and patience are essential qualities to build peace and stability in any society.
In his message on the International Day of Tolerance, the Senate President maintained that without encouraging tolerant attitudes, social harmony cannot be achieved.
He said that meaningful dialogue and mutual respect are key pillars of democratic traditions and Parliament is responsibly performing its role in promoting national unity, tolerance and social cohesion. Gilani noted that all sections of society must stand together against extremism.
