Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tessori, took on Tuesday a firm attitude against Karachi’s notorious dumping Mafia, saying that if he gets authority over you Karachi for only a week, and a single dump-related accident occurs, he will resign.
By tackling a public collection in Hyderabad, Governor Kamran Tessori discussed various urgent questions and announced initiatives aimed at the city’s development.
He criticized the situation in Karachi and said, “The public has been misled, and now these dumpers are crushing our own children.”
Tessori also claimed that if the mayor of Karachi was placed under his supervision, the old roads of the city could immediately be restored.
The governor also suggested that Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) should fully weave with the Muttahida Qaumi movement (MQM) to bring greater political stability in Sindh.
He reflected on IT education in Hyderabad and complained about the delay in completing courses. “We conducted that test here months ago, but five months have passed and the courses remain incomplete. If I reveal the real reason, all of Hyderabad will take the streets,” he noted, adding that he is exercising patience.
Tessori highlighted social welfare activities held at the Governor House in Karachi, including daily IFTAR -Mornings under Ramadan, where objects such as plot, motorcycles and Umrah tickets are distributed. He also shared that over 1 million ration bags and more than 12,000 laptops have been distributed so far, “without taking a single rupie.”
He thanked the people of Hyderabad for their warm welcome, called their hospitality “historically” and added, “If the police ever harass you unnecessarily, just tell them that the governor is your brother – it will raise your respect.”
When he talked about threatening challenges, Tessori warned that certain powers want Sindh’s people to remain weak so they can “take over.” “Half of the acquisition has already happened – hasn’t the municipal administration already been seized?” He asked.
He concluded his speech in calling on the people of Hyderabad to remain united and resilient and said, “There are harder times coming, but together we will meet them.”
