Finding the right words for the important business -e emails could soon be easier than ever thanks to a new Google Gemini AI tool for Gmail.
The email provider adds “contextual smart answers” to Gmail for his business-focused offers, enabling its Gemini AI tool to make the heavy lift (and think) when it comes to writing better emails.
The feature uses Gemini to analyze the context of an E email and then suggest and offer more detailed answers to “fully capture the intention of your message”.
Smarter answers in gmail
The tool is targeted at the use of the workplace and will be added to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise plans without the need to buy a separate Gemini add-on.
“The contextual smart response function saves time and makes answers to E emails more effective,” the blog post added, noting that it would be ideal for them “short time or need help finding the right words.”
When you launch an E -Mail response, users are now getting more response options generated by Gemini at the bottom of their screen
Hovering over a response will give you a quick preview of the text that takes the full content of the E -Mail thread into consideration. Once selected, the E email can be sent immediately or further edited if necessary.
The tool is available now across Google Workspace Business Starts, Standard and Plus Tiers along with Enterprise Starts, Standard and Plus Tiers.
The news follows the launch of smart answers in Gmail back in September 2024, which offered a selection of pre -written answers.
Gmail also recently rolled a new, smarter search function showing results in terms of relevance rather than just in chronological order.
Factoring details such as Recency, most clicked emails and frequent contacts, the company says this means that the emails you are actually looking for should be far more likely to be at the top of your search results.
