- Gmail now shows how many times you’ve had E emails from subscriptions
- The tool supports non-click-in descriptions and sender blocking
- Google also uses AI to reduce fraud
Gmail rolls a new ‘Manager Subscriptions’ feature for mobile and web users to address all the old subscriptions -e emails they have collected over the years in an attempt to help declut e -email in -hills in the end.
The new tool allows users to see and unsubscribe from all active E -mail subscriptions somewhere from the navigation drawer on the app or site.
Originally tested earlier in 2025, the feature is now far rolled out over Android, iOS and web experiences, with full accessibility coming for the next two weeks or so.
Gmail will make it easier for you to unsubscribe from junk mail
In addition to specifying all active subscriptions from those such as newspapers, subscriptions and stores, the popular E -mail provider also helps you identify which subscriptions to cut by displaying the number of E emails you received from each sender in recent weeks.
Senders that support ET-Click Submission will be the easiest to get rid of, but Google has been thinking about those who do not by building a sender blocking tool for the feature.
Separate research from EMAILTOILTESTESTERS suggests that the average E email user now receives more than 80 messages a day, almost half of which (49%) are spam -equivalent to 162 billion spam -e emails sent globally every day.
Although Google claims that AI-based filters have helped reduce scams by 35%, it only addresses malicious emails. With many users now counting two or more decades of online life behind them, the number of unintended mailing lists that plague Gmail inboxes are at a peak at all times when many originate from before improved consumer protection as a newsletter opt-in came in.
