- GMKTECS EVO-X2 launch so allegedly hundreds of devices sold on first day

GMKTEC, a mini-PC producer based in Shenzhen, China, has launched its new flagship unit, EVO-X2.
The company says the debut of the product, which had the first unit personally signed by Lisa SU, CEO of AMD, drew strong interest, with hundreds of units sold through its official site on the first day.
In response, GMKTEC has switched to high gear, triggering what it calls “emergency production protocols” to meet this early demand.
First come, first served
GMKTEC shared a rare photo from inside its factory (see header image) showing rows of AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 -driven devices that undergo final aging test, each equipped with RGB cooling fans.
This testing phase helps verify system stability during continuous operation before shipping and is part of its standard quality control process designed to ensure that the mini-PCs hold up under the real world’s work load.
The EVO-X2 is built around the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, which is manufactured on the TSMCS 4NM Finfet process. It has 16 cores and 32 threads and can reach speeds up to 5.1 GHz.
This high performance processor includes an AI engine based on AMD’s XDNA 2 architecture capable of delivering up to 50 NPU tops alone. GMKTEC claims that the chip achieves up to 2.2 times the AI performance of an NVIDIA RTX 4090 in LM Studio, while consuming less power.
The Mini -PC is targeted at creators, hybrid professionals and players. Memory options include 64 GB or 128 GB LPDDR5X, and storage settings are scaled up to 16 TB with double M.2 slots. Video output supports decisions up to 7680 × 4320 at 60Hz.
EVO-X2 offers a wide range of gates, including HDMI, DisplayPort, USB4, several USB-A connections, a 2.5 g of Ethernet Jack and both front and rear 3.5 mm audio plug. It supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Evo-X2 is available to buy on GMKTEC’s official site. Two configurations are offered, and a code of limited time (X2PR30) gives a $ 30 discount if purchased from here. Shipments go out for a first-come, first-served basis.
