- It’s the (unofficial) year for Styx with a new entry in the series set to launch next month
- There is a free demo available right now on Steam with about an hour of gameplay
- Players can also pick up two Styx play at no cost through the Epic Games Store for (almost) the complete Styx experience
It’s the (unofficial) year of Styx, and to celebrate, Nacon is releasing a Styx travaganza of free stuff for players to enjoy.
This includes the ability to collect the two main games in the series: Styx: Master of Shadows and Styx: Shards of Darkness, for free starting today via the Epic Games Store.
Both are excellent little stealth adventures starring the sarcastic green goblin Styx as he weaves his way through intricately designed environments on a mission to steal pretty much anything he can get his little paws on. Magic abilities give you plenty to play with, whether you want to stay hidden in shadows or slash your way through legions of guards standing between you and piles of riches.
The barrage of referential humor dished out by the pint-sized anti-hero might not be for everyone, but I’ve always found it pretty endearing in its own special Styx-y way.
In case of Shards of darknessyou actually get the ‘Deluxe Edition’ here, which gives you some bonus cosmetics to wear. There’s no real effect on gameplay, but they’re pretty stylish.
genuine Styx heads know that for the complete experience you must also pick up a copy of of orcs and men (an underrated 2012 action RPG that introduced the character). Luckily, GoG is 90% off right now.
