Kai Trump, President Donald Trump’s eldest grandson, has announced a big step towards his dream of playing golf professionally.
The high school senior announced Tuesday on social media that she will make her LPGA Tour debut next month at the ANNIKA at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.
“I am pleased to announce that I will be making my LPGA Tour debut in November at ANNIKA powered by Gainbridge. ANNIKA is at Pelican Golf Club. It has been a dream of mine to compete at the professional level and I want to thank Pelican Golf Club for the invitation. I look forward to competing with the best in the world and competing with the best of the world. venues on tour,” Kai Trump said in a video posted online.

Trump, who will play at the University of Miami next year, received a sponsorship invitation from the club to compete at the tournament, which will take place 13-16. November, with practice rounds beginning November 10.
“Kai Trump has a tremendous passion for the game and expanding the sport to a wider audience,” Justin Sheehan, director of golf and chief operating officer at Pelican Golf Club, said in a release. “She has a bright future in Miami and we look forward to welcoming her and our entire tournament field to Pelican Golf Club in November.”
“Sponsor invitations are an important way to spotlight new talent and generate new awareness for our tournaments and the LPGA,” added Ricki Lasky, LPGA’s chief Tour Business and Operations officer. “Kai’s broad following and reach are helping to introduce golf to new audiences, especially among younger fans. Nelly Korda is the reigning champion of The ANNIKA, and also won the event in 2021 and 2022.
Trump has gained a following on social media, mostly through YouTube, and recently posted a video of herself playing with her grandfather at the Trump National Golf Club, Washington, DC
“I just don’t see it as him being president. I see it as, he is my grandfather. We go out there and play golf,” Kai said in a recent interview with Pakinomist Digital. “We play golf all the time. It’s nothing new.”

In that interview, Trump reiterated his goal of going pro.
“I’m going to try to do it and give it my best shot,” she said.
