Google AI mode comes into Pakistan

Pakistan now has access to Google’s newly launched “AI mode” which promises to offer users an advanced AI-run search engine. The tool is a custom version of Gemini 2.5 that allows users to ask longer, more complex questions that would have previously required more separate searches.

Google had said in a previous statement that early tests indicate that searches are already two to three times longer than traditional searches that highlight the tool’s value for investigative activities such as product comparison, tour planning or solving “How -to” queries. “It dives deep to answer multiple questions at once with useful links for further investigation,” Read the statement.

The AI mode is now available in Pakistan and can be Acessed through the Google app on Android and iOS, also on the mobile and desktop versions of Google search

According to Google, Pakistani users can use the AI tool for a variety of things, such as “Planning a trip” by writing a prompt about a trip to a specific place and a specific time. The AI model would give suggestions to do with everything from the places to see to eateries.

AI mode uses a “Query-Fan-Out” technique that allows the tool to break down the user’s questions in sub-settings and run more searches simultaneously.

The tool uses live information from Knowledge Graph, Product Databases and Web content to produce accurate answers. In the off-chance, which the system shows low confidence in the answers, the system would be classic search results by default.

Google is convinced that this tool will deliver deeper, smarter and more comprehensive results, but acknowledged that, as with any AI system at an early stage, there is a margin of error.
