- Improvements are on the way to the Google Home app
- Camera offodes need to be more reliable and faster
- The updates roll out to Android and iOS devices
It’s not been the best times for Google Home Ecosystem, what about a crescendo of user complaints that rise about buggy devices and apps in recent weeks. Google now brings at least some improvements to the Google Home app for Android and iOS that are connected to nest cameras and door bells.
In a somewhat apologetic post on the Google Nest Community Bookings, a member of the Nest -Team is outlining the improvements. While the reported bugs with Google Smart Home Kit are not processed directly, they are referred to.
“We also wanted to take a moment to thank you all,” the post reads. “While we may not always hit the brand, we remain obliged to listen to our users and build intuitive, reliable and high -performance camera features for your home.”
If you own a nest camera with a certain description, here are five of the most notable upgrades that lead your way.
1. Faster preview
Camera -Leadings are now showing a cache image from a previous live view: Although it means the view may be slightly outdated until fully loaded, it means you can identify which camera is, which faster if you’ve got more set up in the app.
2. Improved movements
Movements have been simplified, so you can now switch between the timeline and the events with a single iron. Expansion and collapsing live views and dismissal of camera are also controlled with an iron, making it easier to get around the app.
3. Better Messages
Previews with review have also been improved, so on both Android and iOS you will see a static thumbnail along with a large animated preview – the intention is that you get a better idea of what the alarm is about without having to open the Google Home app.
4. Exactly reporting
Google says the Google Home app is now better at reporting whether your cameras are online or offline, so you know the status of each camera at all times. The same revenue under the cap should mean that live streaming performance is also better.
5. Smoother performance
When we talk about performance, further adjustments made by the Google Home Team will reduce latency, reduce the likelihood of “no video accessible” errors and make sure camera ranges can be restored faster when turned on and then back.
These improvements come on top of previous upgrades added by the Google team, which they also mention in the same post: They include increased clarity for videos, a more trouble -free timeline experience and a quick search feature to jump through video clips.
In addition to these software improvements, it is very similar to that new hardware is on the way as four new nests have recently been leaked. Despite plenty of evidence to the opposite, it seems that Google may not have forgotten the smart home.
