- Google has announced that the Pixel 10a will launch on February 18
- The company has also revealed the phone from the back and it looks a lot like the Pixel 9a
- The Pixel 9a is currently heavily discounted, so it might be a better buy
We’re now almost a year after the launch of the Google Pixel 9a, so it’s almost time for us to get the Pixel 10a, and Google seems to agree, as the company has announced that the Pixel 10a will launch on February 18.
The announcement was made at the Pixel store, X, and in a short YouTube video, which in between also gives you a good look at the Pixel 10a from behind.
You can see that it has a very similar design to the Google Pixel 9a, complete with a dual-lens camera, and it’s shown here in a shade of blue, although other colors will almost certainly be available as well.
We know pre-orders will open on February 18, and while nothing else has been confirmed about the Google Pixel 10a yet, rumors suggest it could have a 48MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide, a 13MP selfie camera, 8GB of RAM, a 6.3-inch 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED display, a Tensor GA4 display, a 0-chip battery.

Sounds similar
These specs are more or identical to those of the Pixel 9a, so it sounds like this might not be much of an upgrade, and as such, you might want to consider just buying a Pixel 9a instead.
Not only is there no waiting period for it, but right now it’s heavily discounted, with Google selling it for $399 / £349, down from the standard price of $499 / £499 – though unfortunately there’s no such discount in Australia, where it still starts at AU$849.
Of course, these spec leaks could be wrong, and even if they’re accurate, some things are likely to be upgraded this year, but assuming the Pixel 10a costs at least the $499 / £499 / AU$849 that the Pixel 9a launched at, it might be hard to justify the price when the Pixel 9a is available for far less.
