- An early Google Pixel 11 rumor has emerged
- There may be fashion changes with Tensor G6
- We could see a shift from Samsung to Medatek
With the Google Pixel 10 series now in the world, the countdown has begun to launch Pixel 11 in 2026, and a new rumor suggests that there will be a remarkable upgrade with regard to the phone’s processor.
As per Tipster Mystic Leakies (via 9to5Google), Google tests a Medatek M90 modem with the Tensor G6 processor, CPU due to debut with Pixel 11 and a follow-up of Tensor G5 in Pixel 10.
It is important because it would represent a shift away from Samsung modema on tensor chipset -a switch that was actually rumored for 2025 hand sets but never realized. This year it can actually happen.
As far as you see in terms of improvement, better 5G and satellite connection rates have been touted, as well as better effect efficiency – so Pixel 11 phones would in theory run cooler and faster than their predecessor.
Pixel 11 phones on the way
All of this is still rumored and speculations for the time being, and nothing is safe until Google does it officially. Pixel 11 leaks have been relatively thin on the ground so far, although these handsets are probably not coming until next August.
Currently, we still expect the Standard Pixel 11 to be with Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold – after the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold – though there is always the chance that Google might surprise us with something new.
We’ve seen the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air both debut this year, so it’s not beyond the possibilities of Google possibly deciding to introduce a super thin and light phone as part of its own range.
It will be interesting to find out to see if the long-standing partnership between Google and Samsung on the Tensor Chipset, which has been in place since the very first pixel, will be further dismantled by 2026.
