Google messages have already improved a lot since it landed over 11 years ago – and over the past few weeks we’ve seen Google Test in several new features that could roll out very soon.
Although Google has dropped new features in messages since the beginning of the year, the last few weeks have been a particularly busy time, especially for group chat in Google messages.
But in addition to its new chatons and group chat -links, there are a number of other new design features and overdue features that can help improve Google Messages user experience.
Despite not all of these features being far available, Google has suggested that they will be rolled out soon and we have a lot of APK demolition from them as 9to5Google to thank you for an early look at them. Here’s a look at what is likely to come to Google messages very soon …
1. ‘Delete for all’ function
Google messages’ ‘Delete for all’ feature is the latest of the new features that have emerged. First discovered back in February, more users begin to see it growing up in their Google Messages app, but it is not yet available to everyone – which suggests it will be rolled out gradually.
There is already a ‘Delete for me’ option, but this new update allows you to remove messages from the view of everyone in a chat. Users who have access have noticed that ‘deletion for everyone’ only works in larger group chats, and have not yet found a 1: 1 chat where they can use it.
There is also a 15-minute time window, which means that if you want to remove a text from a conversation, you need to be quick.

2. Group Chat Links
Like other messaging platforms, group catninks make it easier to gather your contacts for a big conversation trouble-free, and Google messages follow.
It was first uncovered in an APK demolition of Android Authority and allows you to create invitation links that you can share in standard link form or via a QR code that others can scan.
In the picture taken from the demolition, there is a tilted one you can activate that gives you two options; To create a one -time link or one that can be reused and distributed. Links expire after 30 days.
3. New Group Choos
About the topic of Group Chats, Google messages are very aware of this aspect of its messaging platform and introduces new group chocoons.
A number of users noticed this in the Google Messages app by opening a group conversation and navigating the top beam to reveal the group information. If a pencil icon appears to the right of your group chat’s existing image, it means you have the freedom to set your own icon.
After experimenting with the features that users have noticed that you cannot set GIFs as icons and you cannot return to a previous icon when a new one is set.
Currently, Group Chancers in Google messages only appear up to four circular profile images, which does not make it easy to distinguish between chats, so a minor feature like this will not only be a good design upgrade, but also a practical one.
4. Expanded text message field
For a while, Google messages have not been a user’s best friend when it comes to composing longer texts, but that’s all changing as Google messages expand its 4-line view limit.
The new text field limit provides up to 14 lines per Message, which makes it easier for you to see longer messages before sending them.
5. New feature for snoozing messages
At the same time as group chat -links were discovered in Google messages, there was also speculation about a new group chat ostrich feature -and it looks like it’s ready to roll out.
This will see a new button added to the toolbar at the top of the screen when you long press a chat, which then shows another menu where you can choose to dampen a group chat for one hour, eight hours, 24 hours.
There is even an ‘always’ option and the menu assures you that other members will not see that you have muted the chat.
6. Live Location Sharing and Warnings
Live location sharing is a good-sending, especially when it comes to finding your friends in larger crowds, and this new feature is teased by an in-app code.
Users can currently share their location with another person via Google Maps, but it only appears as a static Google Maps pin. If you are moving around, it means you will need to send your location again – but Google could work to fight this. The last time we checked the feature was not live for us, but there is a chance that Google could experiment with it behind the scenes.
In addition, sensitive content warnings went alive in a Google message beta a few weeks ago for some users. Accounts owned by users under the age of 18 will automatically enable this setting and users over 18 will have the opportunity to turn it off.
In addition to a redesigned gallery, you can send photos and videos on Google messages in their original quality, which was first stained in Beta in February.
The new layout includes an “HD” icon that you can find in the top right of the last screen before sending a photo. When you press the icon, a new menu will be displayed that allows you to select from two settings; “Optimized for Chat”, which deals with a certain quality for a lower file size or “original quality” that sends the original image found on your phone’s built -in stock.
