- Google Pixel 10 could get a telephoto camera
- However, the most important and ultra -equipped sensors could be down -classified
- Other leaked specifications include a brighter screen and a larger battery
Google Pixel 10’s cameras could be both an upgrade and a downgrading of its predecessor according to a new rumor, with the phone apparently set to get a tele camera, but having worse sensors for its two other snappers.
This is according to Android headlines that – in line with previous leaks – claim that Pixel 10 will have a tele camera, which is something that Google Pixel 9 doesn’t have. This will apparently be the same 10.8mp 5x zoom one found in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and which will also be used by the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
So that’s good news, but it seems to be a price where this report says Pixel 9’s 50MP main camera will be replaced by Google Pixel 9A’s 48MP snapper that has a smaller 1/2.0-inch sensor.
The ultra-covering camera could be in an even greater downward adjustment, with Android headlines that say it will only be 12MP this year, down from 48MP on Pixel 9.
On the plus side that goes at a previous leak, Google Pixel 10 can at least offer improved macro photography, with both ultra-boundary and telephoto cameras, which may have been set to contain a macro state.
A larger battery and a brighter screen
In any case, this latest report also describes some other specifications, and there is again a mixture of upgrades and downgrades. As far as upgrades are concerned, Google Pixel 10 will apparently have a lighter screen, with its highest brightness to reach 3,000 nits (up from 2,700 nits on Pixel 9). The display is apparently otherwise unchanged, where the Pixel 10 is said to have the same 6.3-inch FHD+ 120Hz screen as its predecessor.
Also for upgrades, the battery could be slightly larger at 4,970mAh (up from 4,700mAh) along with slightly higher 29W wired charging speeds, while wireless charging will apparently seem to top at 15W.
The chipset is expected to be a new Tensor G5, although this will reportedly be paired again with 12 GB of RAM and a choice of 128 GB or 256 GB of storage.
But Pixel 10 does not seem to have a steam chamber, and although its predecessor doesn’t, the Pixel 9 Pro does, so it’s a little disappointing. Worse is that it is said to lack Wi-Fi 7 support, despite the fact that the Pixel 9 has this.
So Google Pixel 10 sounds like something of a mixed bag where these rumored camera cameras especially have a real influence. If this report is accurate, Google has chosen versatility rather than quality for the cameras, so it will be interesting to see how much influence it has on the photos you can take.
We will probably find out in August, with August 20, tilted as the Pixel 10 date.
