- Google Pixel 10 Pro has been benchmarked with a very low GPU score
- It’s even beaten here by Pixel 9 Pro
- It may mean it’s bad for games but we wouldn’t read too much in a result
Google’s pixel phones have never been the most powerful handsets, with their tensor chipset falling behind rivals in the benchmarks. But surprisingly, the Google Pixel 10 series may be even more compromised than the Pixel 9 series, at least when it comes to GPU (Graphics Processing Unit).
In a post of X, @lafaiel (via telephone arena) shared a screenshot of a Geekbench list for Google Pixel 10 Pro, with Pixel 10 Pro obtaining a GPU score of only 3,707. Higher is better here, and by comparison, the Pixel 9 Pro’s score is 9.023, while rivals like Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro achieve scores of 26,333 and 33,374 respectively.
So based on this result, the Pixel 10 Pro is far behind, although the fact that it scored even less than its predecessor is especially worrying.
The Pixel 10 Pro’s GPU has very low GPU calculated performance. I wonder if this is a problem that can be corrected with driver updates 🫠pic.twitter.com/qjstcdo6wjAugust 20, 2025
Performance upgrades in other areas
Now, GPU Performance is Only One Part of the Power Picture, and the Pixel 10 Pro Should Outperform The Pixel 9 Pro On Geekbench Overall, with the Same Source Recording A Single Core Score of 2,329 and A Multi-Core Result of 6,358 For The Similarly Spec’d Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, Compared to 1,948 and 4,530 for single and multi-core repectively on the Pixel 9 Pro XL.
But such a low GPU score means that Google Pixel 10 Pro may still struggle with demanding games.
Google claims that the Pixel 10 series will feel faster in Everday Day use and performs better for AI tasks, and that’s probably true, so if you’re not interested in games, this shouldn’t affect you much. But if you are a big mobile player, you can think twice to buy the Pixel 10 Pro -or any Pixel 10 model as they all use the same Tensor G5 chipset, so it will probably all have similar GPU performance.
That said, although this looks like a legitimate geekbone screen, it is still only a result, so it is possible that this turns out to be an outlier. It is also possible that Google could possibly improve the PIXEL 10 PRO GPU performance through a software update.
So there is still hope that it may not disappoint as much as this score suggests.
