- A detailed specifications Leakage suggests that the Pixel 10 Pro series could have larger batteries
- They may also have a new chipset and slightly faster charging
- But the other core specifications could remain to a large extent unchanged
After the latest leakage, the Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL could be two of this year’s more disappointing smartphone launches as it sounds like not much can change.
According to Android headlines, the most important upgrade can simply be for their batteries, with the Pixel 10 Pro, which has been said to have a 4,870mAh (up from 4,700mAh in the Pixel 9 Pro), and the Pixel 10 Pro XL is apparently set to have a 5,200mAh one (up from 5,060mAh in Pixel 9 Pro XL).
To join forces with it, both phones will apparently have marginally higher cable charging power, 29W in the case of the Pixel 10 Pro and 39W in the case of the Pixel 10 Pro XL – but it is only a 2W increase in last year in both cases. Wireless charging could deliver up to 3W more power and reach 15W.
In addition to that, the specifications mentioned in this leak are largely identical to those from the current models. It includes screens that will apparently be 6.3-inch in the case of Pixel 10 Pro and 6.8 inches for Pro XL, with both 1-120Hz update speeds, both have a 3,000-nit pointed brightness, and both using Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The cameras will apparently also be largely unchanged, with both phones that have been said to save a 50MP primary sensor, a 48MP ultra and a 48MP telelder, with 5x optical zoom. It is also said to be a 42MP front -facing camera.
However, both the ultra-and-telephoto cameras may be able to take macro images this year, while the current models can only use the Ultra deck for macro images.
More power and a higher price
These phones should at least also get a power upgrade, with this leakage that repeats others by saying that they are getting a new Tensor G5 chipset, as expected, but adds that they again have 16 GB of RAM.
Finally, there is a mention of storage, with Google Pixel 10 Pro is said to have the same configurations as its predecessor – namely 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB. There is a small change mentioned for the Pixel 10 Pro XL as this phone seems to be missing a 128 GB option, but the site speculates that this will just be used as a way for Google to justify a price increase, so it is not necessarily a good change.
We have previously heard that the Pixel 10 Pro XL may cost more than the Pixel 9 Pro XL, so this fits it, but many of the other details of this leak are new so we would take these specifications with a pinch of salt.
We should find out exactly what the Pixel 10 Pro series has to offer in less than two months when August 20 was tipped as a message date. Hopefully at that time we have heard some more exciting leaks, because based on the above, the Pixel 10 Pro Line may not be worth upgrading.
