- Marketing material for the Pixel 10 series is apparently leaked, including photos and videos
- This material also includes a requirement that Google AI Pro will be offered free of charge for a year of selected Pixel Hand Set
- We’ve rounded off the five upgrades that could make these phones worth waiting for
The Google Pixel 10 series is now less than two weeks away, where August 20 is the big day, but ahead of it is various official marketing material seemingly leaked.
Shared by Evan Blass includes these videos of the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro Fold and Marketing photos of any model. These materials do not actually show us much that we have not seen before, especially since Google has previously leaked the Pixel 10 line.
However, there are two particularly remarkable things here. First, the presence of the Pixel 10 Pro fold in leaked marketing images suggests a recent rumor that this model may not land until October could be wrong.
Secondly, the leak also includes a picture that says you get a year with Google AI Pro with the purchase of selected Pixel phones. So some or the whole Pixel 10 series probably comes with this bundled subscription.
Even without this freebie, however, these phones could be worth buying, and below we have detailed five of the biggest upgrades to expect.
1. An AI-driven camera racing
Google has always been more of a software business than a hardware, so it’s no surprise that one of the most exciting rumor pixel 10 upgrades relates to its software.
According to a leakage, the entire Pixel 10 series could launch with a ‘camera trainer’, which is apparently a gemini-driven tool that will use AI to help you take better photos.
It is said to do this by analyzing the photos you take, and then offering contextual suggestions, such as keeping the camera at a different angle or looking for better lighting. So this can be a great tool for anyone who still appreciates real photos (rather than highly AI-edited) but wants to use AI to improve them.
2. An IP68 -assessment for Pixel 10 Pro Fold

An exciting rumor about the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is that it could have an IP68 assessment, which would mean that it has not only received severe water resistance-as most foldable phones that it is also dustproof, which is something that is not a foldable phone that has not yet been done.
IP68 rates are common on non-folding phones, but hinged and other components required in a foldable make this more difficult to achieve on a double screen handset.
So hopefully Google has broken this because it could make the Pixel 10 Pro fold more durable than alternatives and give it a significant point of sale.
3. A new Tensor G5 chipset

An expected but still appreciated upgrade is the move to a newer, more powerful chipset that is likely to be called Tensor G5.
Of all the upgrades we have erected here, this is what we are most sure of, as it would be surprising if a new model did not have a new chipset.
This should help it work better no matter what you do, but will probably prove to be particularly useful for advanced games, AI and other demanding tasks. That said, Benchmarks suggests that the Tensor G5 is still not a battle for the Snapdragon 8 elite used by some rival phones.
4. A telephoto camera to the base model

Google Pixel 9 just has wide and ultra-covering cameras on the back, but for the Pixel 10, Google was able to equip the base model with a telecommunications camera also according to several leaks.
Not all good news reports suggest that the most important and ultrabrow sensors could be downgraded, presumably to accommodate a new sensor without a price increase, but hopefully the extra lens will be more an upgrade than the changed sensors are a downgrade.
5. Larger batteries for the PRO models

One of the most important upgrades for the Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL could be an increased battery capacity, with the Pixel 10 Pro allegedly having a 4,870mAh one (up from 4,700mAh in Pixel 9 Pro), and the Pixel 10 Pro XL said to have a 5,200mAh one (up from 5,060mAh in pixel 9.
A bigger battery will hopefully mean greater stamina, so you don’t have to connect the phones so often. So while it is undoubtedly not so exciting, this is always a desirable upgrade.
