Adaptive charging is a machine-learning feature used on pixel phones that teach your charging habits and charge the phone to different speeds depending on your use. If you connect it overnight, the phone eventually charges slowly at these times, while if you tend to fill it at regular intervals, the battery will be charged quickly.

It is not confirmed that the feature will arrive on Pixel watches, but that would be a welcome addition. We want the feature to come hand in hand with adaptive battery, another pixel function that uses similar machine learning to put small used apps to sleep to avoid battery drains. This would extend the clock’s life between charges, possibly helping Google reach Apple Watch Ultra 2’s 36-hour numbers.
