- Google’s latest pixel software update resolves a pair of high-level security errors
- It rolls out now to qualified pixel telephones and tablets
- The update also resolves an error with ‘back -button’
If you have a Google Pixel phone, make sure you have downloaded the latest security right as it includes several important updates that solve some potentially critical problems with your smartphone that you may not even be aware of.
There are a few high -level security errors that patches solve as well as a “critical” system vulnerability. According to Google, this error can be performed externally (in combination with other bugs) and whatever it is, it can be activated without any user interaction.
Yikes.
Google didn’t go into details of hacked beyond these details, but it doesn’t sound like one, it would like to leave unaddened.
In addition to security improvements, Google has also apparently resolved a back -button error that does not work for users at times.
Here is a demo of the backbone that randomly does not work on Android 16.I grabbed a abdominal report and submitted it to Google Engineering along with this reproductive screen. Hopefully they will find it out. pic.twitter.com/nemifqrvbJune 14, 2025
As you can see in the video above, users would push back on their Android 16 Pixel phone and nothing would happen – which is not ideal if you want to leave an app or easily return to another screen.
It could have taken close to two months, but after Beta users got the correction in July, the rear button now had to be resolved on all devices running the Android 16s stable version on their phone.
Are you ready to update?
If you want to upgrade your Pixel device, the patch is now rolled out now to all pixel tablets and phones launched since Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. These two phones were launched in 2021.
With automatic updates enabled, you may have already updated. To find it manually, go to your settings app, then search for system update and press the control button after updates to see if you are up to date with your software.
If you have the August plaster, you are ready, even if it may take up to a week before updates need to be made available to everyone – so if you are still in July’s update and do not see any opportunity to install August, don’t worry, just wait a little longer for a solution.
