Government probably called the budget session earlier

Islamabad:

PML-N led the federal government has in principle decided to present the next financial year’s budget before Eidul Azha, which is expected to be celebrated on June 7.

According to sources in the Ministry of Finance, the government is likely to convene parliamentary budget session a few days earlier considering Eid.

It can present the next budget between June 3 to June 5. They said the process of adopting the money municipality starts immediately after Eid holidays.

They said the government authorities, before presenting the budget, will hold consultations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), whose mission will arrive in Pakistan on May 14.

They said the government will try to get nodded by the IMF on annual tax revenue goals and development budgets, etc.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb will also fly to the United States to attend the IMF’s and World Bank’s annual meetings.

These meetings are scheduled in Washington on April 21 and April 26.
