Govt -Arhore proofs Aimal’s security requirement

Peshawar:

The spokesman for the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief minister has stated that security has already been given to Awami National Party (ANP) Chief Aimal Wali Khan, and his continuous complaints and sarcastic remarks indicate that his goals are political scoring rather than true security concerns.

In an official statement issued on Monday, the spokesman said the facts should not be distorted. “Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur personally contacted Aimal Wali about his security. The regional police officer (RPO) and district police officer (DPO) also asked him to provide a list of staff he trusted for his security detail, but he did not shared any such list,” the statement added.

The spokesman further noted that raising objections or mocking the events at this time is both unreasonable and malicious. “It makes no difference whether the security staff is deployed from the police lines or a local police station, the central point is that Aimal Wali Khan’s protection has been secured.”

He clarified that since Aimal Wali Khan has been selected as a senator from Balochistan, the constitutional responsibility for his security is primarily with the Balochistan government and federal institutions.

“By transforming this matter into a political controversy, Aimal Wali Khan tries to mislead the public and get political mileage,” the spokesman concluded.
