Govt ensures continuous support in the Aafia case

Information and TV Society Minister Attaullah Tarar, who confirms diplomatic and legal support for Aafia Siddiqui, said Monday The comments of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar about her were taken out of context.

The government has continuously provided diplomatic and legal support in the Aafia Siddiqui case, the minister said while talking to the media after participating in a book that launched ceremony at the National Language Promotion Department in Islamabad.

A committee led by the Minister of Law has also been set up to facilitate progress in the case, the minister added.

Tarar noted that the current government is making an unprecedented effort for Aafia Siddiqui’s release compared to previous regimes.

DPM and FM Ishaq Dar are not a member of the Sugar Advisory Board, he added, calling on the media to verify any news before posting it.

With regard to Cryptocurrency Regulation, the Minister said a system has been created that includes the formation of a crypto council and the preparation of relevant laws.

He emphasized the growth of cryptocurrency in Pakistan and criticized former Finance Minister Miftah Ismail’s tale of the question, which suggested it is in line with India’s attitude and is in violation of the Earth’s realities.
