Energy Minister Awais Leghari on Tuesday inaugurated Pakistan’s first 120 kW quick charging station, developed by Gogen Avenue, according to a statement from the Power Division.
At the inauguration of Islamabad, the Leghari confirmed the government’s dedication to pure energy and sustainable transport and stated that such initiatives are crucial to transforming the country’s energy and transport sectors.
He noted that the launch of rapid charging station means Pakistan’s obligation to reduce carbon emissions and promote the adoption of electric vehicle (EV).
The minister announced a reduction in the prices of electrical charging unit from RS71 to RS39 for the purpose of making EV -pass more accessible and affordable.
He praised the public-private partnership that brought this project to execution, highlighting the essential role of private investment in achieving Pakistan’s sustainability goals.
Leghari concluded that the government remains obliged to support green energy projects that offer long -term environmental and economic benefits.
