Usually the speeds of the sweetener fall during the crushing season. But this season is the opposite and the rates are going up, even if the crushing season is in full swing.
In December 2024, the ex-Millatrate RS125 was Kg, but it has now jumped to RS140 to 143, says a spokesman for Sugar Dealers Association. He says the ex-mill award for February will be beaten to RS145.
