Govt to act when the PTI -Protest Plan takes place

Islamabad:

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said the government will create its strategy to deal with Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) Protest, which is scheduled for August 5, when the party has completed its preparations.

During a meeting with journalists on Friday at the Ministry of the Interior, the federal minister said that Federal Constabular (FC) will be transferred training on modern lines, added FC is transformed into a federal force similar to its counterpart in the United States. The wages for FC staff were revised on par with other forces, the minister said, adding that their Shuhadah package wasn’t even a quarter of other institutions. This, he said, was also improved.

The FC strength consists of 24,000 employees who will remain the same, Naqvi said, adding the government will transform it into a better strength.

The minister refused to comment on whether US President Donald Trump and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir discussed Imran Khan’s future at their meeting.

By clarifying a previous offhand note that even a station house chief (SHO) could control terrorists in Balochistan, he said the comment was meant. Naqvi also claimed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir played a role in dragging Iran-Israel tension.

He revealed that a crash will be launched at 133 illegal housing communities in Islamabad. He said foreigners would not be allowed to live illegally in Pakistan, which adds that Afghans who live in the country illegally are not given any extension.

The Minister of the Interior said Iran has deported 0.3 million Afghans, and Pakistan will blacklist the Afghan, who have not yet returned to their country.

He said that Afghanistan is a brotherly Islamic country and that conversations are done with it about many questions.

There is no possibility of 40,000 Pakistanis disappearing in Iran. Strict action will be taken against those who run illegal call centers and their facilitators, the minister warned.

The Minister of the Interior said there are several institutions under the Ministry of the Interior, adding that there should be an army officer to run the affairs of eight departments, including Rangers and GB scouts.

The Minister pointed out that no decision has yet been made to bring retired or officials.
