Govt who works with deregulating pole prices

Islamabad:

Petroleum Minister Musaddik Malik said on Thursday that the government introduced reforms in the energy sector, including deregulation of the prices of the petroleum product and eliminating all unnecessary rules.

Malik, who treated a ceremony in Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) and Schlumberger, declared that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had set up a committee to rights rights of government institutions to retain only the ministries and institutions that benefit the public.

“All unnecessary laws, unnecessary rules are abolished. Only the most important will be kept, everything else will be abolished,” said Malik. “We are working on deregulation of petroleum product prices,” he added.

The minister said the government introduced major changes in the energy sector, and in this regard, the Prime Minister had given clear instructions. “The country is changing, now we will be dependent on domestic resources. We will move forward with the country’s own energy resources.” (With input from app)
