- XAI’s GROK 3 Chatbot has added a voice mode with more personalities
- A personality is called “unhinged” and will scream and offend you
- GROK also has personalities for NSFW -Rollespil, crazy conspiracies and an “unlicensed therapist” mode
Xai’s Grok may be starting to remember your conversations as part of a wider slate with updates that roll out, all of which are looking to match chatgpt, Google Gemini and other rivals. Elon Musk’s company tends to hit the hustle and base of a picked upstart in a world of Staid AI tools; It seems to be aiming for parity on features such as memory, voice and image editing.
As it was discovered by a user of X, it seems that Grok is getting a new “Adaptation with Memories” contact in settings. This would be a big deal if it works and marks a shift from immediate tools to prolonged reliability. Groks reported memory system, which is still under development, but already appear in the web app will allow you to refer to previous chats.
This means that if you have worked on it on something like planning a holiday, writing a manuscript or just keeping track of the name of the documentary you would see could say, “Hi, didn’t we talk about this already?”
Grok’s memory is also expected to be user -controlled, which means you can control what AI remembers and deletes specific memories or everything that goes to remember at once. It is increasingly the standard among AI competitors, and it is likely to be important to confidence, especially when more people start using these tools for work, personal planning and remembering which child prefers what bedtime history.
This should put more or less on level with what Openai has done with Chatgpt’s memory rolling, albeit on a much shorter timeline. The broken pace is part of the track for Grok, even when it doesn’t work completely yet. Some users have already reported to see the memory feature available, but it is not available to everyone yet and the exact roll -out plan is unclear.
REMEMBER GROK
Giving memory to a chatbot is of course a bit like giving a goldfish a planner, which means it is only useful if it knows what to do with it. Still, Xai seems to be adding memory to the Tandem Tandem with a handful of other upgrades that are leaning towards making it feel more like an actual assistant and less like a snarky trivia machine.
This memory update begins to appear as a number of other hollow -ups the weave on the horizon. GROK 3.5 is expected every day now, with Grok 4 split until the end of the year.
There is also a new vision function in the development of Grok’s voice state that allows users to point their phones to things and hear a description and analysis of what’s around them.
It’s another feature that Chatgpt and Gemini users find well -known, and Grok’s Vision Tool is still being tested. Upgrades also come to the newly released image editing feature that gives users upload an image, choose a style and ask you to change it.
It is part of the ongoing competition among AI -Chatbots to make AI models artistically versatile. Combine it with the upcoming Google Drive Integration, and Grok is starting to look a little more serious as a competitor.
Also on the horizon is the Grok Workspaces, a kind of digital board to collaborate with a thorough project on a more significant project. These updates suggest that Xai is about making it seem less like a news and more as a necessity. XAI clearly sees the future of Grok as more useful than just a set of sarcastic and average voice response.
Even when Grok gets these long -awaited features, questions still remain about whether it can match the depth and polishing of its more established colleagues. It’s one thing to romp a memory system on a chatbot. It’s another thing to make this memory meaningful.
Whether Fallen becomes your go-to assistant or remains a curious toy used only when an aspect becomes viral depends on how well Xai can connect all these new capabilities to something coherent, intuitive and slightly less chaotic. But at least at least it finally remembers your name.
