HAFIZABAD:
An important suspect in a gang rape case was killed in an alleged police meeting near Jorian in the Mangat Uncha area, while three of his accomplices managed to flee, according to the CRIME Control Department (CCD).
CCD stated that the operation was performed based on intelligence reports on the presence of suspects attached to a recent gang rape event.
During the raid, the suspects allegedly opened fire on law enforcement authorities inside a building.
Police reciprocated in self-defense, and during the exchange of firearms, a suspect was identified as Khawar, deadly shot-hero of bullets fired by his own accomplices during the cross.
The remaining three suspects escaped and are currently sought in an running manhunt.
Police sources revealed that Khawar, together with his employees Ikraam Mangat, Laeq and Chand, had allegedly abducted a husband and wife with a gun and exposed them to sexual assault. They reportedly forced the couple to participate in intercourse while filming the incident.
The video was later shared online, triggering widespread indignation.
The incident received Swift action from District Police Officer (DPO) ATIF Nazir, who ordered an immediate investigation and crash on the defendant.
Authorities confirmed that there is effort to understand the remaining suspects and that further litigation will follow.
Earlier on Wednesday, the female complaint recorded in a gang rape case that took place in Mangat Uncha on April 25, her statement in accordance with section 164 of the criminal code of civilian judge and territory Ali Naqi Tipu, detailing the events involving abduction and assault.
Over the course of a month after the incident with gang rape and forced sexual abuse, the police recorded a first information report (FIR) on June 3rd.
The incident involved three armed men who allegedly raped a woman in front of her husband with a gun, while one of the suspects registered the assault on video. The case was renewed urgently after the explicit footage appeared on social media.
