National Disaster Management Authority’s (NDMA) National Emergecy’s Operation Center (Neoc) has issued a weather -advising warning of intense rainfall, thunderstorms and isolated hailstorms expected to beat Rawalpindi, Islamabad and other regions from Friday night to Saturday.

This alarm follows a harmful hailstorm that hit the federal capital and parts of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), resulting in the front of the crushed vehicle, crushed solar panels and destroyed the tree branches.

The advisory covers the Pothohar region, upper and central Punjab, warning that strong wind and stormy rain can cause infrastructure damage, disrupt travel and affect agriculture.

High-speed winds can rebel trees and lead to temporary power cuts, while hailstorms threaten vehicles, roof terraces, power lines and crops-ice-size installations with glass surfaces.

Reduced visibility due to dust and rain can increase the risk of traffic accidents. Citizens are encouraged to stay informed by downloading the official pack of NDMA Disaster Alert app for real-time updates.

Tourists and locals in areas exposed to areas should monitor verified sources of development and avoid non-essential journeys.

Residents are advised to take precautionary measures, ensure loose objects and avoid unnecessary trips under severe weather conditions.
