- Seasons 1-2 of the way home comes to US Netflix on October 1
- Season 3 joins the streamer in February 2026
- Season 4 is set to be released on Hallmark+ and Hallmark Channel in 2026
I know you’re tired of waiting for Virgin River Season 7 to get around (and thanks to Emily in Paris Season 5, we know it won’t be soon), so let me suggest something else coming to Netflix in the US on October 1: The way home.
The series has been broadcast on Hallmark+ and Hallmark Channel since 2023, but don’t let it expose you. The two streaming services have a history of sharing content (Chesapeake Shores for example performed incredibly well on Netflix) and The way home Was originally created there when programming Lisa Hamilton Daly, although she was later fired by Hallmark Media.
It therefore makes sense for seasons 1-2 of the show to find his way back to its original home (word games calculated), and it makes more sense that existing subscribers will love it. However, I should warn you: The more its ridiculous history line grabs, the more you can’t stop seeing.
Hallmark’s way to home lands on Netflix and it’s a time travel romance
Look at
Strap in, because here’s the basic story: Three generations of Landry-Family Women-It Is Part (Andie MacDowell), Daughter Kat (Chyler Leigh) and her daughter Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) up that they can travel through time through the pond at the bottom of their garden.
While del Objects, Kat and Alice use the pond to uncover long -term secrets in their family history, where each season leads us back to another time. Season 1 is about the 1990s, season 2 19th century and the most received season 3 set in the 1970s.
This means that we often have two versions of a character on the screen where we play their older and younger self at the same time. This includes not only characters that still live in the present but also dead. Are you still with me?
Add some melodrama and romantic love triangles in ages and you can see why Virgin River fans will chomping in bit to get started with The way home. It goes without saying that a huge suspension of faith is required (some of these novels span different timelines) and Loreen can be as complex as it becomes.
Anyway I am a complete conversion to it, just as I should Virgin River A couple of years ago. Although I can never fully believe what I see, I have found myself completely invested in the endless Lore that the show produces. There is no original content for the show that needs to be customized, so we follow it literally everywhere and everywhere.
If Cliffhangers Season 3 did not do a good enough job with hyping us up to season 4 (to be released at a time in 2026), the transition to the Netflix show’s future will make the more promising. A larger audience base means greater opportunities, and that can mean we have plenty of seasons with time travel ridiculousness to come.
Seasons 1-2 of The way home Will be available for streaming on Netflix in the US from October 1st. For those in the UK, the series on the Hallmark channel is via Prime Video, while Aussies can catch it on Binge or FoXel now.
