Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s former residence, Frogmore Cottage, have been empty since the couple moved out in 2020.
But now Royal raises correct questions about how the royal family manages its finances, the new report has revealed.
Real Estate expert Robin Edwards told People’s Channel That the unused home has become a symbol of this ongoing debate.
He claimed Charles is sending the wrong message by keeping the property vacant.
Edwards said, “Frogmore Cottage has become something of a symbol in the ongoing conversation about the royal family’s economy and whether they offer good value for money to the taxpayer.”
“Since Sussexes has left the property several years ago, and it now sits empty, the awkward question raises, especially at a time when the monarchy is trying to show that it is moving with the times and cutting back other costs, such as recently announcing the closure of the royal train.”
He added, “from a real estate perspective, leaving a high -profile home like Frogmore Cottage, which is not obsessed, sends the wrong message. However, it’s not just about optics; it is also about practical.
“An empty property worsens faster, and in the case of frogmore cottage, which underwent a costly renovation not long ago, the fact that it is not lived in or recycled risks that occur wasted.”
